This copy of the National Rifle Association’s Audit Committee Executive Session Minutes are unsigned by then-Chairman Charles Cotton and labeled “draft.” The meeting took place in April 2024 at the Dallas office of their NRA outside attorney Brewer, Attorneys, & Counselors. At the meeting, Cotton “requested an update regarding [then-NRA Director of Advancement] Tyler Schropp’s repayment of the identified private inurement from travel benefits that Mr. Schropp received.” NRA CFO Sonya Rowling told the committee that the NRA expected to receive three payments from Schropp: $3,979.49 “for a leased vehicle purchase,” and two payments, $21,122 and $19,362 for “excess first class flights.” (p.1) Later in the meeting, the committee reviewed the “confidential agreement concerning end of employment” of former NRA Executive Director of General Operations Joe DeBergalis. The committee determined that there were no “ethical or controls issues concerning the DeBergalis Agreement.” (p.2) Docket number 3442.
